Idle Wind Farms is located in East Central Missouri in the rolling hills of the Ozarks and south of the Missouri river near Union, MO. Our operation was established in 1872 when the land was purcharsed by Wilhelm Dierking the first generation born in the USA. Throughout its' history the farm was a mixed operation raising cattle, hogs and crops. There has been many generations that call this land home. Today the 5th and 6 generation, Mike and Vickie Dierking along with their son Ryan Dierking manage the operation that is focused on raising Reg. Red Angus and Akaushi Wagyu Cattle as well as Heritage Berkshire Hogs.

While the plans and objectives for our family operation have changed with each generation over the past 150 years the pursuit to keep the operation in the family as remained our top pritority! We are focused on sustainable practices which includes to have a profitable opreation. We cannot sustain our heritage when not being focused on what our customers need and want for their families. We pride ourselves on our grazing grazing practices adpoting mangaged grazing in 2007 and see the full benefits of that practice on the land, the grass, the cattle and most importantly on our continued family heritage. By doing this we can provide for our family while suppling our quality beef to feed and sustain your families on wholesome beef and pork proteins direct to your door from our farm!
